SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Green dress with long sleeves
- light, dark green & silver glitter
- 3 medium flat paint brushes, 1 large flat paint brush
- painters tape
- light and dark green pipe cleaners
- headband
- 2 hair elastics
- dark pink, light pink, purple and white streamers
- brown felt
- ribbon
- scissors
- plastic flowers
- brown glitter
- Stiffen’ Stuff – a Spray Adhesive glue
- Zip Dry
- Fabri Tac
- Felt Glue
- Fast Finish Decoupage glue
DIRECTIONS:
- Lay dress on flat surface and iron
- create vertical lines on top section and arms using painters tape (Front and Back if you choose)
- Paint decoupage glue onto exposed fabric lines using a paint brush
- sprinkle light green and dark green glitter onto wet decoupaged areas, alternating colors
- Use dry paint brushes to spread glitter evenly for each color
- let dry
- Cut brown felt into shape of a flower pot (2 identical layers)
- Cut an extra square for a pocket
- Use Felt glue to attach pocket and glue pot together
- Use Fabri Tac to glue ribbon to the back of the flower pot
- Flip over and cover the entire front of pot with Spray Adhesive and sprinkle brown glitter
- Use dry brush to spread glitter evenly over surface
- Attach flower beads to top of flower pot using Fabri Tac
- Fringe cut 5 in sections of colored streamers
- Roll each section add layers of different colors and and secure with Zip Dry to create paper flowers ( 1 big and 2 Medium)
- Fluff out your flowers and glue your big flower to your headband and two medium flowers to your elastic bands using Zip Dry
- Let dry
- Cut light and dark green pipe cleaners into small sections
- Fold in half into a V shape to create the look of cactus spikes
- Use Spray Adhesive on pipe cleaners and sprinkle silver glitter over them, let dry
- Use Fabri-Tac to glue pipe cleaners to the glittered lines of dress, alternate colors and directions.
Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:
*Shake off excess glitter before gluing flower beads and cactus spikes
*Make sure to measure out enough ribbon to properly tie around you
