DIY Summer Cooler

There’s no better way to beat the summer heat than by enjoying a nice ice-cold drink.  Therefore, a drink cooler is the perfect companion for all of your summer adventures!  Craft Box Girls designed this cooler using Beacon Power-Tac.  Doesn’t it just give you all the summer feels?  So, if you have pool or beach day plans coming up, you’ll definitely need to pack this guy!  Let’s chill out and get making this cooler!

Supplies:

Beacon Adhesives Power-Tac
White Spray Primer
Cooler
Sequin Trim Pink & Green
Pom Pom Tassels
Gold Flat Sequins
Scissors
Brushes
Pink Paint
White Paint
Black Paint
Green Paint

Instructions:

Step 1: Spray the outside of the cooler with white primer.

Step 2: Paint your cooler with white acrylic paint.

Step 3:  Use pink, white, black, and green paint to paint slices of watermelon on the side of the cooler.  Let the paint dry in between coolers.

Step 4: Use Power-Tac to glue sequins to the watermelons.

Step 5: Use black paint to create bleeds for the watermelons.

Step 6: Glue green and pink sequin trim to the watermelons.

Step 7: Glue pom-poms around the lid and handle.

Step 8: Glue the sequin and pink trim to the lid.

Note: Unlike some other glues, Power-Tac does NOT contain PERC, which is known as a carcinogen.
