DIY Faux Leather Napkin Rings
Fall is synonyms for gathering around the table, so today’s DIY is all about tablescape! Our friends, Craft Box Girls, designed DIY Faux Leather Napkin Rings using Beacon Gem-Tac. Gem-Tac is a permanent, non-toxic glue that dries clear, formulated specifically to to secure gems and rhinestones. It’s one of the only adhesives that is suitable for applying mirror backed stones, a the glue won’t warp or alter the appearance of gems or rhinestones.
Napkin rings are the perfect accessory to dress up any table, especially around the holidays. Follow our tutorial below to learn how to make your very own with just a few supplies and in less than an hour!
Supplies:
Beacon Adhesives Gem-Tac
Scissors
Leaf Charms
Black Paint Pen
Chocolate Brown Leather Trim
Template
Instructions:
Step 1: Download, print and cut out the leaf template.
Step 2: Trace cut out leaves onto faux leather.
Step 3: Cut a strip from the remaining faux leather.
Step 4: Wrap the strip of faux leather around the napkin and glue the ends together using Beacon Gem-Tac.
Step 5: Stack leaves onto the faux leather strip and glue using Gem-Tac.
Step 6: Glue the leaf charm using Gem-Tac.
Step 7: Write initial on uppermost part of the leaf with a paint pen.
