Easy Hair Barrettes ONLY USING GLUE
TREND ALERT! Hair barrettes are the hot new accessory trend that can be worn any time of the year. Sometimes we forget that the easiest way to update a hair style is with a creative, unique statement piece. So, that’s why we’re here to help, along with our friend, Caroline Bell, who designed these easy hair barrettes using only glue.
Want to know the best part about this project? It’s easy, inexpensive and you can create a variety of barrettes in less than an hour! AND, you don’t even have to leave your house! Everything you need, you can easily get online. We partnered with two amazing brands for this project, Halcraft Collection and ArtBin and we linked everything you’ll need below.
These hair barrettes are a cheap and easy way to save any bad hair day. So follow along below to make your very own one-of-a-kind barrettes with Beacon Power-Tac glue. Let’s get started!
Supplies:
Beacon Adhesives Power-Tac
Alligator Clips (You can find these on Amazon)
Halcraft Beads
– Magenta Pearl Beads
– White Pearl Beads
– Acrylic & Metal Fancy Pental Slides
– Silver Rhinestone Beads
ArtBin Organizers
– Bead Organizer
– Bin for Glue
– Bin for Clips
– Hair Accessory Organizer
Instructions:
Step 1: Apply Beacon Power-Tac to the top of the alligator clip.
Step 2: Place each bead (one at a time) onto the adhesive.
Step 3: Gently press each bead into the adhesive.
Step 4: Let your barrettes dry overnight.
Step 5: Accessorize!
Craft Hack Tips & Tricks:
– Utilize ArtBin containers for optimal organization.
– Hold open the alligator clip when applying the glue to prevent gluing the clip shut.
NOTE: Unlike other glues, Power-Tac does NOT contain PERC, which is known as a carcinogen.
