How To Make Trendy Seashell Hair Clips
Hellooooo Summer! We’re so excited you’re finally here! Even though Summer is looking a little different this year, we still have to do our hair every day, so why not glam it up a little bit? Accessories are the perfect way to amp up any summer outfit or hair-do, but it’s even more fun to take it up a notch and DIY some of your own.
Right now, hair clips are ALL the rage, and we’re so here for it. So, to fit in with the beachy vibes, we partnered with Project Runway alum, Amanda Perna, to bring you this super easy and trendy seashell hair clip tutorial. To make your own, watch the video above or follow the step by step instructions below. The trick to this project is that you need the right supplies and the kind of glue you use is really important! That’s where we come in to help!
Supplies:
Beacon Adhesives Power-Tac
Seashells
Gems
Hair Clips
Instructions:
Step 1: Select your seashells and gems that you want to use.
Step 2: Plan out your layout for each of your hair clips.
Step 3: Adhere your seashells and gems to your hair clips using your Beacon Power-Tac glue. Apply your Power-Tac to the back of the seashells or gems and then attach to the hair clip. You only need a small dab of glue.
Step 4: Allow your hair clips to dry for at least 24 hours before wearing them.
Note: Unlike other glues, Power-Tac does not contain PERC, which is known as a carcinogen. Also, if taking shells from the beach, never take a shell that still has a living creature in it.
Is this not the easiest DIY ever?!?! Fun and simple projects are the best kind of DIYs. So, on your next beach vacay, be sure to collect some shells so you can make these hair clips yourself. These trendy seashell hair clips are the perfect way to wear your beachy memories! They also make for an adorable gift. If you make your own, be sure to tag us on social!
