Why Choose Magna-Grip?
08/25/2025
When it comes to bonding notoriously difficult materials like TFE (Teflon®) and other fluoropolymers, Magna-Grip stands out as a trusted solution. Formerly known as Chemgrip® Cement, this two-part epoxy adhesive delivers exceptional performance across a wide range of applications.
Proven Performance & Versatility
Magna-Grip uses the exact same formula as Chemgrip® Cement, offering reliable adhesion with strength approaching that of the fluoropolymers themselves. It bonds treated TFE and other fluoropolymers to a variety of substrates, including:
- Wood
- Metals
- Glass
- Ceramics
- And more
Magna-Grip provides a dependable bond essential for industrial manufacturing, product assembly, specialized repair, and many other applications.
Easy Application, Clean Results
Mixed Magna-Grip has a soft, buttery consistency that spreads smoothly and evenly. Once applied, it holds its shape and won’t flow during curing—making it ideal for:
- Poor fit or gap-filling applications
- Situations requiring drip-free, controlled placement
- Projects where precision and cleanliness matter
Available in pint, quart, and gallon kits, Magna-Grip includes Part A (red) and Part B (yellow) for easy identification and mixing.
Surface Prep Made Simple
To bond TFE effectively, the surface must first be etched. Magna-Grip works seamlessly with FluoroEtch® Safety Solvent—an advanced treating agent that replaces the original Chemgrip® Treating Agent. FluoroEtch® reacts with fluoropolymers to extract fluorine atoms and create a carbon-rich layer that’s compatible with most adhesives.
