Description

Magna-Tac A31 adhesive is a two-part, room temperature curing, epoxy resin formulation for general purpose applications. It is thixotropic with a creamy or buttery consistency that is easy to work and apply. Higher temperatures do not affect the thixotropy, tending, on the contrary, to inhibit flow further. Color is neutral.
The A31 adhesive features low out-gassing characteristics which makes it quite suitable for bonding of vacuum devices. It is also quite resistant to thermal changes which make it quite useful for outdoor applications and for the bonding of dissimilar adherents. In general, it can be used for bonding all metals, hard plastics, treated Teflon and olefin plastics to themselves or to dissimilar materials. A special application of this adhesive is as a terminal sealer where the thixotropy of the adhesive is essential to successful spot bonding of the wires to the terminal. A31 is recommended for any application where flow of the adhesive during cure cannot be tolerated.
